01 March 2010 Our first day at Park School

Today we start our first day at Park school and we have now informed those students that it will affect. We hope you will see the future benefits in what is available at Park school and we look forward to the future. We wish to thank you for the continued support you have given ZKS.

22 February 2010 ZKS ARE MOVING!

We are pleased to announce that after 10 successful years holding classes at the Aquavale Fitness Centre we are moving around the corner to Park School with effect 1 March 2010. A map of exactly where we will be is attached for your use. This move has become necessary for a number of reasons. Firstly, the Aquavale have let us down on a number of occasions, due to the fact that they have asked us to move class times and cancel classes, and also because they have increased their fees substantially. For ease, we are moving our Queens Park class as well, due to the close proximity to the Park school. Running classes from Park School will give us many advantages. Firstly, the school has recently opened a brand new building which will be brilliant to work from. This building gives us greater flexibility on class times and also on being able to offer our older students the opportunity of attaining their Sports Coach qualifications as they have classroom space. We will no longer be at the mercy of the Aquavale Galas and so our classes should run more consistently. From a practical point of view for the parents, they will no longer need to pay or be reimbursed for a car park fee or negotiate their way around the new turnstiles! Of course, if parents like being at the Aquavale to swim or train they can be, very easily, as the building is just a stone’s throw away from Park School so they can drop their child off and just drive around the corner. Of course we appreciate that with any significant change comes resistance. If any parents or students feel greatly opposed to this move, we would appreciate any feedback you can give us and we will endeavour to help you as best as we can. We will begin running all our Aquavale and Queens Park classes out of Park School with effect from 1 March 2010. 16 February 2010 Grading Dates

All grading dates ave been posted for all students except for little dragons. You are able to register to the grading by going to the student area and logging on. You will need to make sure that the payee has a comfirmation code to be entered. To get a comfirmation code please email us and we will organise it for you.

06 January 2010 Good News on how we communicate

We have always had issues on how we communicate with our members. At last we will have another means of commincating with our members! We will now be able to send text messages to members or their parents of any changes that may occur that we need notify members about. We are going to send out a letter very shortly to comfirm the information we currently hold such as telephone numbers and email addresses. We will also need to add a password that will be used to help with appling for events that will be happening soon

04 January 2010 We begin the new year with a keen promotion

First of all we want to wish everyone a Happy New Year We hope that everyone had a relaxing Christmas break. At the end of 2009 some of our more long standing students suggested that we run a promotion that we run a couple of years ago and we called the Laptop deal. We want to help our students with their school work and we are always looking at getting fresh blood for ZKS Martial Arts! As with most hobbies we do have a student dropout rate and for us to maintain the club we need to ensure that numbers remain the same to keep classes running! Our promotion starts 1st January 2010 and will continue to 3rd July 2010 and the members objective is to help the club and we will give them a BRAND NEW “Netbook” laptop worth £250.00 absolutely free They will have to earn their laptop by getting six new members to sign up we know this is going to be a tough challenge but they have just over 6 months that s one person a month. We are happy for family members to work together and as long as that one member has put the Bar I.D. number down on the form As we know that this is going to be a tall order we have decided to do something a little different for this promotion if a member doesn t quite mange the 6 new members but manages to get 4 or 5 new members to join we will give them instead a BRAND NEW IPod Nano worth £100.00 absolutely free We will award the prizes at our main grading event on the 10th July 2010 so keep that date in your diary Plus remember that we have a challenge on the ZKS website called Recommend a friend and students can earn an additional ten points if there friend comes to a trial lesson this could help them get student of the year prize and the main prize is worth over £200! We have included with this letter six V.I.P slips for you to fill in for each new prospective member. You can download more of these by logging ontozks student area and all the details can be found in the library section. The V.I.P slip must be handed in when their friend attends their first lesson. If we do not receive this then we cannot add them to the promotion

We are just about to launch our very own web shop www.zksshop.co.uk for our members to purchase their ZKS Martial Arts equipment which will be delivered to your door! We will even have special e vouchers that will be available only for ZKS MARS Members. It s also open to the public and we are running the shop in conjunction with ZKS Print and Design who provide all the printed club merchandise. They can provide equipment for other clubs and businesses so please pass on the information. The product will be growing so check it out every now and then!
